Her Excellency Ms.Laila Sharaf

"Fraud and corruption have increasingly become a serious international concern. Their effects on sustainable development plans in developing countries and on the health of economies in the world have become major issues in today's economic and developmental discourse.

On May 28th. & 29th of this year a major public and private sectors international conference on "Fraud Prevention and Detection" will be held in Jordan, for the first time in the Middle East.

Major world financial and economic organizations will participate and international experts and professionals in different fields will hold specialized panels.

It is hoped that the conference will contribute to increasing awareness of the problem and to supporting efforts to combat fraud and corruption, locally, regionally and internationally."
